Sometimes you need to send particular values to Salesforce, display dynamic answers or use results form the OCR. Here is a list of what we call Magic words : expressions that will allow you to push the limits of the studio.
This list can evolve at any given time, remember to check it on a regular basis.

Most common use cases

  • #USERID# : returns user's Salesforce ID, to use with OwnerID for example
  • #QUESTION99# : returns question 99's answer, 99 is to be replaced with the wanted question ID
  • #LINK_RECORD_ID#  : use this in Salesforce to create actions to link the new record to the main record of the workflow.   
  • #TRUE# : returns true (for boolean)
  • #FALSE# : returns false (for boolean)
  • #TASK_STATUS_CLOSED# : use it to set a task's status to "closed" 

Date

  • #NOW# : current date and time
  • #TODAY# : current date
  • #TOMORROW# : current day + 1 day date
  • #NEXT_WEEK# : current day + 7 days date
  • #NEXT_MONTH# : current day + 1 month date
  • #NEXT_QUARTER# : current day + 3 months date
  • #NEXT_YEAR# : current day + 1 year date

Salesforce links

  • #CONTACT_ID# : if a contact was linked or created, return its id
  • #LEAD_ID# : if a lead was linked or created, return its id
  • #ACCOUNT_ID# : if an account was linked or created, return its id

Scanning OCR results 

These magic words are based on what is obtained from a scanned image, usually business cards.
WARNING : these values can be empty.

  • #SCANNED_COMPANY_NAME# : company name
  • #SCANNED_WEBSITE# : website adress

  • #SCANNED_FIRSTNAME# : first name of a potential person
